POSITION DISCUSSED
Difficulties created by the hew import control regulations were discussed at a meeting of the council.of the New Zealand Importers' Federation in Wellington yesterday. The president, Mr. G. W. Guthrie, Wellington, presided, and the following were present:—Sir Charles Nor r wood, representing the Auckland Importers' Association; Mr. Stronach Paterson, representing the Otago Importers' and Shippers' Association; Messrs. E. Salmond, L. L. Jones, and J. Roy Smith, representing the Canterbury Chamber pf Commerce, Importers' Section. »
In the afternoon a deputation waited on the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, placing a list of questions before him. Mr. Nash gave the deputation a sympathetic hearing and promised early answers to the questions. The Press not admitted to the deliberations.
