An earthquake was felt in Wellington at 11.22 a.m. yesterday, but it was only a slight one, although sufficiently strong to rattle china and to set swinging lights swaying. Its origin is computed by the seismologists at the Dominion Observatory to have been about 160 miles from Wellington, a little further away than the shakes felt recently. The centre was probably in the upper reaches of the Wanganui River.- The shake was felt in Te Kuiti and Taumarunui and as far south as Cook Strait,
