With the official count for Wellington Central completed a little arithmetic shows that a surprising number of people on the rolls for the six Wellington city seats and Hutt did not record their votes in the General Election on October 15. The total roll number for the seven electorates was given as 116,695, and the total" number of votes cast was 104,098, the difference being 12,597. Wellington has the two largest electorates in the Dominion,' Wellington | North, with a roll of 18,999, and Wel-j lington West, with 17,902, but there wer.e many electors who failed to exerciie their privilege.
