PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING

Reference to the passing or the danger of war was made in most Wellington churches yesterday. At. St. John's Presbyterian Church the Rev. J. R. Blanchard spoke of the feeling of relief in the world at the easing of the international situation, and prayers of thanksgiving were offered. The Governor-General and Lady Galway attended the morning service, and his Excellency read the lessons. Similar prayers of thanksgiving and references in sermons were made in other Presbyterian, and in Anglican and Methodist churches.
