Mrs. B. E. Stott, New Plymouth, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Howard Reid, Clifton Terrace. I Mrs. Guy Rochfort and Miss Alix Rochfort have returned to Hastings after a week's visit to Wellington. Miss C. I. Honeyfield has left for Tauranga to attend the BradmoreLiddle wedding, which takes place there next Saturday evening. The bride-elect, Miss Alison Bradmore, is a niece of Miss Honeyfield. Mrs. Charles Teschemaker, Blenheim, is visiting Christchurch. Miss Kathleen Rutherford, Parnassus, will visit New Plymouth for the golf championships this month. Miss Mildred Trent, returned to Christchurch on Friday after visiting Wellington and the north. Mrs. H. A. Gilbert, Wellington, is visiting friends at Christchurch. Mrs. H. R. Searle, Miss Williams, Mr. C. Wilson, and Miss Gaynor were the prize-winners at the Englishspeaking Union bridge evening held last week. The consolation prizes went to Mrs. F. C. Harris and Mr. W. N. Waugh. Miss T. Hardy-Gibson, who is visiting Mrs. Eric Foreman, Gladstone, will leave shortly for a holiday visit to her parents at Napier. Mrs. F. Haigh, with Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Haigh, will leave by the Awatea on Wednesday for a few months' visit to Australia. Mrs. F. Bird, Pirinoa, is visiting Wellington. Miss Joyce Ball arrived at Wellington on Sunday morning after spending a holiday in Dunedin. Mrs. G. C. Hancox is a Masterton visitor to Wellington. Mrs. Black, Dunedin, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. J. T. Muir (Te Awamutu), Mrs. C. R. Bentley and Miss M. Bentley (Sydney) are at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. O. A. Rees (Invercargill), and Miss A. Pickering (Palmerston North) are among those staying at the Hotel St. George. Mesdames Noel Adams (Auckland), G. R. Ritchie (Dunedin), Sandral (Timaru), Robertson (Perth), Hugonin, Chambers (Hastings), Misses Lund (Auckland), Bullen (Hastings), and Robertson (Perth) are staying at the Midland Hotel. Mesdames H. R. Peacock (Waipukurau), P. Blair (Hawke's Bay), J. C. Brown (Westport), S. Holmes (Waimate), E. Campbell (Christchurch), W. W. Aitcheson (Sydney), E. Ghiosuddin (India), H. J.
