ELECTROLYTIC ZINC PROFITS LESS.
The Electrolytic Zinc Co. has advised the Stock Exchange Association that the audit of accounts of the company for the year ended June 30 last has now been completed, and the reports and statement of accounts < will be issued to shareholders early next month. The net profit, after £145,000 for amortisation and depreciar tion, and £125,417 for taxation, was £459,524. Net profit for the preceding period was £536,613.
SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE CO,
The South British Insurance Company, Ltd.. has advised the Stock Exchange Association that the transfer books of the company will be clpsed from October 14 to 27, both days inclusive, preparatory to payment of the final dividend.
