SHORT-SERVICE MEN

The following candidates had been selected for short service commissions in the Royal Air Force, said the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones):— G. M. Allcock (Auckland), D. W. S. Clark (Auckland), V. A. Cunningham (Wellington), V. B. de la Perrelle (Invercargill), F. W. Hall-Jones (Invercargill), and A. K. Round (Wellington).

Candidates are to report to the Auckland, Wellington, and Otago Aero Clubs next Tuesday to undergo initial training. W. Smillie (Palmerston North) has been selected with a view to his appointment in the Royal New Zealand Air Force Reserve.
