STAFFS MAKE MERRY

Regret that an annual dance comes only once a year was expressed after the dance organised byl the combined firms of the Colonial Motor Company and D. P. Fisher, Ltd. The function took place at the Southern Colledge Studio, which presented' a charming appearance, decorated with streamers and hundreds of balloons. As tbe guests entered the studio they were presented witb paper hats of many designs and colours, which added to the gayness of the scene. Novelty dances were held, and an exhibition tap dance was given by Master Bennie Hutcheson. Excellent music was provided. Mr. Johnson, M.C, kept proceedings very lively throughout. A savoury supper was served. Through the generosity of Mr. Manning, of the Colonial Motor Company, the dance was continued to a much later hour than was anticipated.

Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Fisher, Mr. Manning, Miss Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Sutcliffe, Mr. and Mrs. Borra, and the arrangements were in the hands of a very efficient committee, Messrs. H. Maxwell, L. Priestley, J. Roberts, and J. Gentry.
