THREE HUNDRED GUESTS

■ Over 300 members.and their friends were present at St. Francis Hall when the Ancient Order of Foresters held their annual ball. The; Mil was beautifully decorated with streamers and balloons —the work of the committee which comprised Misses Mills, Dwight, Tansey, G. Morris; and Messrs. Pattison, Levy, Cook, Jelly, Guthrie, Bendall,. Griffiths, Black, St. Clair, Windsor, Williams, and Hemmingway (secretary).

A "Grand March" was held, all Foresters wearing their regalia. A tap dance was given by little Karen Austin, and an exhibition of the English tango and a slow fox trot was given by Miss K. O'Connor and Mr. H. O'Doherty, both items being much appreciated by the audience. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss Day and Mr. Williams. A good orchestra supplied

the dance music and Mr. R. Ryder played the extra. Mr. H. O'Doherty made a very efficient M.C. and helped to make the dance the great success that it undoubtedly was.

The D.S.C.R., Brother Murphy, welcomed all present, and thanked them for helping to make the ball a success. The district executive was represented by Brothers Sanvig, Hogarth, Murphy, and Anset.
