ROAD CYCLING
The Wellington Cash Cycling Club will hold a 35-mile road race tomor--row afternoon, starting from the Grand National Hotel, Petone, at 2 ' p.m. sharp. A full muster of riders is requested. Following are the handicaps:—H. Houston, L. Roberts, and D. Sinclair, scr; J. Martin, M. Cole, G. Staveley, and L. Woods, 2min; I. Caulton, R. Wakeham, A. Wright, D. O'Brien, E. Sayers, J. Clark, and F. McCoy, 4min; V. Wakeham, R. Lunty, B. Wilton, and E. Paynter 9min. The Port Nicholson Ama'teur Road Cycling Club's final road, race of the 1938 season is to be held tomorrow, when seniors will compete for the McPharland Cup, over a distance of 44 miles. The cup has been given by Mr. C. McPharland, the well-known Wellington sportsman. The course will be from Derwent Street, Island Bay, thence via Brooklyn to the Lyall Bay circuit.
