HUTT VALLEY ESPERANTO
CLUB
Mr. Hamilton, the vice-president, presided at the weekly meeting of the Hutt Valley Esperanto Club, held on Tuesday evening in the Hutt River Board Hall, Lower Hutt. Correspondence was received during the week from Bulgaria, Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, and France. The secretary, Miss M. Stirling, received numerous Esperanto brochures, stickers, posters, and tourist books from the Esperanto Congress held in London last month. Mr. Hamilton welcomed another new member, Mr. K. Smith, who made good progress during his first lesson. After the instruction period, the rest of the evening was devoted to conversation in Esperanto. Members were reminded of the visit of the Miramar Esperanto Society on the following Tuesday when the evening would be held in the Methodist Hall, High Street, Lower Hutt. Both clubs were working hard to make the evening an outstanding success.
