MR. LANGSTONE AT TE
AROHA
{By Telegraph—Press Association.)
TE AROHA, This Day. The Hon. F. Langstone addressed an audience of 700 in the Majestic Theatre last evening. The Deputy Mayor, Mr. G. Hedge, presided. The address was on the same lines as his broadcast from Te Awamutu. The speaker said that the widelyspread statement that the Labour Government intended to confiscate land was the "greatest bunkum" ever circulated throughout the country. Several questions on the land policy, were answered satisfactorily, and in reply to a question as to whether the Government would socialise land, the Minister said it would cost too much. A vote of thanks to the speaker and confidence in the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage as Prime Minister and in Mr. J. Thorn as member for Thames was carried with acclamation.
