Chapman, Labour candidate for Wellington North, said that in the last few years they had had a Beautifying Society in Wellington. -He had been a member of the reserves committee of the Wellington City Council for many years and he ventured to assert that the reserves committee had done a thousandfold more to beautify Wellington than the Beautifying Society.
