BAIL REFUSED

WOMAN ON GRAVE CHARGE

Bail was refused Marjorie Pickering, a married woman, aged 42, who appeared before Mr. J. I-. Stout,' SJ&, in the Magistrate's Court today, charged with unlawfully using an in-. strument with intent to -»rocure miscarriage.

Detective-Sergeant. P. . Doyle, who stated that the accused was arrested' only last night by Detectives Reid'and Tripney, applied for a remand to Wednesday next.

Mr. C. H. Arndt, who appeared lor the accused, applied for bail.
