KARORI RIFLE CLUB
SUCCESSFUL YEAR
At the annual general meeting, of the Karori Defence Rifle Club the report and balance-sheet showed rthat the 1937-1938 season had been a very succesful one. The club jvas ]in ;a good financial position •. and - its achievements were meritorious, as: exemplified by the winning of .the Union Shields and the performances 'ofl l club members at the National' )Rifle /Association's meeting. Membership Jhad .increased and the results of < competitions showed that an exceptionally high standard of shooting ;had / lb.een maintained throughout .the rseason. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. W. H. Field; vice-patrons, Messrs. W. J. Blundell and/WV. iH. Tarr; president, Mr. T. H. Boon presidents. Messrs. L. R. McKelvie, ,G. T. Hall. W. Cowan, A. V. Swanson, fS. Piatt. W. I. Clark, E. J. Whitcombe, and C. E. Morrison; deputy presidents, Messrs. W. Judd, R. Randall, -H. W. Croxton, and A. Caldwell; Honorary secretary, Mr. B: -P. Doyle; honorary treasurer. Mr. A. R. Craig; committee, Messrs. J. I. King, G.- G. Kelly, J. McKelvie, and L. Hare; handicapper, Mr. L. Hare; honorary auditor, Mr. R. D. Potts; selector, Mr. L. Hare; delegates to W.R.A., Messrs. H. V. Croxton and J I. King; deputy secretary, Mr. J. F. Ross.
