MR. SAVAGE TO SPEAK TONIGHT

* Public interest in the General Election campaign is being maintained, and last evening's meetings in Wellington and the surrounding districts were well attended. Addressing a large meeting in the Dunedin Town Hall, Mr. W. A. Bodkin, the. National candidate for Otago Central, whose speech was broadcast, encountered considerable opposition and at times had some difficulty in making himself heard against demonstrations by a section of the audience. He made a vigorous attack on the Government's policy, devoting special attention to the social security legislation. The Pfc|me Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) will speak at Dunedin tonight, and his speech will be broadcast over the national stations.
