RAROTONGA, This Day,

As a result of meetings held in all villages in Rarotonga, and telegraphed offers of assistance from all groups of islands, the Islands Council today passed the following resolution:—

"The Cook Islands desire, if war should unfortunately involve the Empire, to give assistance in men and money to their utmost capacity, and shall be glad if you will have our loyal offer conveyed to his* Excellency the Governor-General and the proper authorities."

A copy of the resolution has been sent to the Prime Minister.
