MRS. STEWART AT NORTHLAND
At a meeting 'of women at Northland yesterday afternoon Mrs. >C. Stewart,. Labour candidate for. Wellington West, drew comparisons between the policy of the Labour Governrrient and that of the National Party. Mrs. Stewart pointed out the provisions which were made for old age and sickness under the Government's policy and the ease with which a home, could be had under the housing scheme. "How many people setting out to buy a home ever really own it?" asked Mrs. Stewart. "If he acquired it in middle age a person
would need to live to be over a hundred before he could pay it off."
A hearty vote of confidence in Mrs. Stewart and in the Labour Government was carried.
