GENERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN

MR. SAVAGE AT CHRISTCHURCH

The General Election campaign was continued with unabated vigour m all parts of the Dominion last evening. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon M. J. Savage) addressed a meeting of BGOO people in Ohristchurch, devoting the major portion of his speech to an exposition of the Government's financial policy. The Minister of Lands (the Hon. F. Langstone) spoke at Te Awamuto, his speech being broadcast. The majority of candidates in the Wellington area were also in action, and generally the meetings were well attendee!. A feature of the speeches was a vigorous attack on Socialism by the National candidate fos Hutt, Mr. J. W. Andrews, who drew an audience of about 1000.
