CAMPAIGN DEVELOPING
LAST NIGHT'S MEETINGS
The General Election campaign is developing in intensity in all parts of New Zealand. Meetings held in and around Wellington last evening were again well attended and candidates' speeches were followed attentively. Ministers of the Crown are taking an active part in the campaign in various parts of New Zealand. The Minister of Public Works (the Hon. R. Semple) addressed a large meeting at Christchtirch last evening and his speech was broadcast. The Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) was at Levin, and the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) addressed several meetings yesterday in tLe North Auckland district. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) left for the South Island last night to continue his campaign. He will speak at Christchurch tonight.
