PRAYERS FOR PEACE
(Received September 26, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 25. Their Majesties attended divine service in the private chapel at Buckingham Palace. Prayers of intercession for peace were offered.
Westminster Abbey was packed with people all day. There was continuous prayer for peace. Hundreds were permitted to stand in recesses.
Several Cabinet Ministers attended before the meeting at No. 10 Downing Street.
