PIGS AND POULTRY.

The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, reports a fair yarding of pigs at their weekly sale on Thursday, prices for all classes showing a slight increase on last week's rates. There was an absence of heavy porkers. A few" light weights sold from 35s to 40s. Good stores sold freely at 33s to 355, and best weaners from 20s to 235. Poultry again was in heavy supply with a particularly good demand for hens and ducks. Large quantities of vegetables are now coming forward and selling freely at reduced rates. An improvement in the price of fruit was noticeable.
