ASHBURTON, This Day.
Mr. A. N. Grigg, National Party candidate for Mid-Canterbury, opened his campaign with two enthusiastic meetings in country centres. He strongly attacked the Socialistic policy of the Government and the granting of dictational powers to Ministers. Mr. GSigg devoted a considerable time to the guaranteed price and other points affecting the farmers. He condemned the social security scheme as a gamble. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried.
