FARM LABOURERS
WAGES FOR SEASON
INCREASE EXPECTED

Farm labourers' wages for the present dairying season will be fixed by the Minister of Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) at Stratford tomorrow, in consultation with Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P., Mr. H. E. Blyde, vice-president of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, and Mr. J. H. Furniss, Ruawaro.
A more substantial increase in the rate than that made last year is expected. It is understood the new rate for an adult farm hand will be about 50s a week.
