CABARET DANCE

"33 CLUB" CONCLUDES SEASON

"The 33 Club," the well-known association of executives of the motion picture industry in Wellington, the members of which are sponsors of the film industry benevolent fund, held a dance at the Mayfair Cabaret on Saturday night. It was the club's final effort for the year, and was just as great a success as the two previous dances. The decorations of the dance rooms were particularly notable in that cartoon sketches of prominent club members, with humorous titles, formed a veritable art gallery. The sketches displayed splendid likenesses, and the artists, Messrs. Haggilt and Humphrey, received their due credit. Accompanyj ing the cartoons were gaily-coloured posters of forthcoming motion pictures, and hanging pennants from the ceiling, j inscribed with scintillating "335," j completed a gay effect Supper was served in the main supper-room, which

was decorated with poppies and "33 Club" pennants. Special guests were members of the "Desert Song" Company, who joined the party immediately following their stage presentation.
