NURSES' HOME
HOSPITAL BOARD'S PLANS
The Wellington Hospital Board last night rescinded a previous resolution to build the additions to the nurses' home adjoining the present block, and adopted the recommendation of the Royal Commission that a new block be built on the Hospital Road site. The architects are to be instructed to proceed, after consultation with the Department of Health, with plans for the nurses' home additions. Provision is to be made on the ground floor for bedrooms and sitting-rooms for 10 members of the supervising staff, and 29 bed-sitting-rooms and conveniences on each of the four upper floors. The board also decided that the site of the temporary wards be that recommended by the Royal Commission, namely, the old tennis court site, taking iv the "tin shed." ,
