WELLINGTON EAST O.G.A

The Batham Assembly Hall was the scene of another successful ball held by the Old Girls of Wellington East Girls' College. The hall was artistically decorated with greenery and gaily-coloured balloons. The hostesses were Miss Batham, Miss Isaac, Mrs. Knox Gilmer, Mrs. Binning, and Mrs. Holdsworth. They were presented with dainty shoulder sprays, and a presentation was also made to Miss Jean Mitchell, an old girl who has been chosen for New Zealand honours in basketball. The committee which did so much to make the evening a success comprised Misses J. Duff, K. White, N. Knox, R. Donnelly, M. Stone, V. Stone, G. Lister, J. Myers, I. Franklyn, N. Binnie, V. Broad, H. Mitchell, Jan Mitchell, and A. Duff.
