Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents dated July 7, giving North Island frozen meat quotations as follows:—Down lambs, 28-361b 7£d per lb; 36-421b, 7£d; crossbred lambs, 28----361b 7 3-8d; 36-421b, 7 3-8d; second quality lambs, average 30-311b, 6 7-8d; wethers, under 481b, s|d; 48-561b, 5 3-8d; 56----641b 5 l-8d; 64-721b, 4 7-8d; ewes, under 481b 4d; 48-561b, 3£d; 56-641b, 3id; 64----721b, 3 l-8d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160-2201b, none offering. Compared with last week's quotations, down lamb 28-361b and second quali'ty lamb, l-8d per lb lower; wethers, all grades, l^d per lb lower; ewes, 56-721b, l-8d per lb lower; others unchanged. The market is quiet.
