The Public Works camp at the Homer tunnel has now been evacuated, the workmen and their wives having moved down to Camp Marion for the next few months, states the "Otago Daily Times." The road to the tunnel camp had to be cleared by the snow plough, and for three or four days prior to their moving out the women folk were advised to stay in their homes in case an avalanche should come down. The 20 Public Works employees from the Homer camp will now work on the Lower Hollyford road.
