It has been raining almost continuously for fifteen hours at Old Trafford, Manchester, where the third cricket Test is scheduled to commence tomor r row. The ground and the wicket are very soft and the players of both teams have. been- unable to practise. McCormick is suffering from a cough and mild tonsilitis. . • * - There were storms earlier m^the week. No Test match has,been finished on the Manchester ground since 1905.
