FASHIONS AT COURT
SENSATIONAL COWNS

The '!Daily Mail" says that the fashions at last night's Court _ caused raised eyebrows in Buckingham Palace circles. One debutante's dress resembled a' beach costume, with a brassiere and skirt. Another had a sixteenth-century square neckline which was lower than any seen at Court since the off-shoulder gowns of Victorian times.
It is understood that steps are being taken to ensure that gowns in future conform more to the tradition of being attractive without being unduly sensational.
