PRUNING DAMSON.
"Ignoramus."—As the trees have become very wild and bushy you would be wise to thin out some of the branches, more particularly those
which are crowding the centre of, the trees. Use a saw where necessary and smooth off the cuts with a sharp knife afterwards, putting on a coat of paint to prevent the entry of disease ■ spores. Any very long growths would be better shortened back as required. .
