FLYGER CUP CHALLENGE
Senior fixtures for Saturday week, July 16, were made as follows by last night's meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Football Association:— CHATHAM CUP FINAL, 2.30 p.m. Waterside v. Seatoun, at Basin Reserve No. 1. FIRST A DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP, 2.45 p.m. . Diamond v. Scottish Wanderers, at Anderson Park No. 1. ! Hospital v. Petone, at Petone. ! Technical 0.8. v. Marist, at Seatoun.' FIRST B DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP, 2.45 pjn. Lower Hutt v. Korokbro, at Hutt Re-' ■creation Ground. i Stop Out v. Qnslow, at Anderson' Park No. 2. Nada v. Miramar Rangers, at Crawford Green. . Swifts v. Institute 0.8., at Basin Reserve No. 2, 2.30 p.m. The transfer was granted of K. Baillie from Marist Second B Division to third division. The committee decided that the Nada-Onslow First B Division game of last Saturday, which was abandoned by the referee ten minutes from time after an Onsjow player had been ordered off for questioning his decision, should be replayed at the end of the season if necessary, no points to be awarded meantime. Nada were leading 5-3 when the game was abandoned. The player who refused to leave the field when ordered to do so appeared before the committee and was suspended until the end of the 1939 season. It was decided to challenge Auckland for the Flyger Rosebowl, which is played for by junior representatives. It is hoped to play the game at Auckland on Jtily 30 as a curtain-raiser to the North Island Chatham Cup final.
