DEFENCE LEAGUE
200 NEW MEMBERS ENROLLED
The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Defence League reports increasing interest by the citizens of Wellington relative to the necessity for more adequate measures being taken in the matter of the defence of New Zealand. The opening of an office in Lafebton Quay, where literature and illustrations were displayed, created considerable interest, and the number of inquiries concerning the league's activities was very encouraging. Mr. E. Reeves, chairman of the finance committee, reported to* the general committee that a number of donations had been received to help the league in its work. He also reported that 200 members had recently been enrolled.
