MOST LAVISH MUSICAL.
"Rosalie," which co-stars Nelson Eddy and Eleanor Powell is described as the. most lavish musical' in the annals of motion pictures. Twentyfive hundred persons appear in the Romanza number, alone, which was so large that it took 10,000 amperes of electricity nightly to light the sixtyacre set -where the spectacle was filmed. > Madame Albertina Rasch, after . searching • the entire country, gathered together 500 of the best ballerinas for the number, not to count another 250 tap dancers and 125 acrobatic teams, which the dance director included. With Miss Powell and Eddy are seen such favourites as Frank Morgan, Enda May Oliver, Ray Bqlger, the new European singing- sensation Ilbna Massey, Billy Gilbert, Reginald Owen,, ancl dozens of others. The storyconcerns the love and adventures of a West Pointer who follows his girl to Europe only to discover she is a princess. A thrilling series of events bring them together again. The new musical was directed -by W. S. Van Dyke 11.
