GROWTH OF MOTORING.
The Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand has been advised by the Commonwealth Government Statistician that during 1936-37 a' total of 791,497 motor vehicles was registered throughout Australia, an increase of nearly 49,000 over the 1935-36 returns. Gross revenue from taxes, registrations', and other charges on motor vehicles amounted to £6,08Q,867 for last year.
