TOURING IFABtMERS
LUNCHEON TODAY
A party of forty New Zealand farmers, who are leaving by tha Wanganella today for a six weeks* good-will tour of South Australia, were farewelled at a luncheon" today by representatives of the Government Tour- j ist Bureau iand the Agriculture.. Department. Prior to the function Mr. W. G. Thompson, of Middlemarch, and Mr. R. H. Lodge, Murchison, were " elected co-leaders of the party.Mr. L. J. Collett,* Assistant General Manager of the Government Tourist Department, wished the party a happy tour, and others to speak were Mr.^. C. Critchley, Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, Mr. E. Fawcett, Acting Director-General of theAgriculture Department, and Mr. A. P. O'Shea, Dominion 'Secretary of 4h« New Zealand Farmers' Union. ' ' '_ Messrs. Thompson and Lodge also spoke.- '•■
