The shooting in the A grade dropped badly in this round, only two teams registering scores above 470. The Brooklyn team are shooting exceptionally, -well this year, never less than 475. The Public Service Club were ■unfortunate as they had to shoot one man short. The team average -was 457.70 and the individual average 66.33. The possible scorers were P. Chandler and J.-A. For the' C grade there were some good scores, and a big Improvement in most of the teams. The best team score was that of P.W.M.C, 468, which is only one point less than the record. The best combined score was the P.W.M.C. v. "Evening Post," 920, which beats the previous best by four points. Petone Central still lead in section 1 by two points from South, and in section 2 P.W.M.C. have a lead of four points from the nest teams, six of whom are level.
