WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION

A meeting of the Wellington Hockey Association was held last night, Mr. G. P. McKenzie presiding. , Letters were received from the principals of Wellington College and Wellington Technical College asking if visits of the Indian hockey team to the colleges could be arranged. It was decided to endeavour to arrange for Professor Jagan Nath to attend both colleges. A protest was received from the Karori Club, stating that in a game between the Karori Senior B (2) team and Hutt Senior B team, a goal had been scored by Hutt to which that team was not entitled. It was decided to obtain a report from the umpire of the game before taking action; > The Auckland Hockey Association, writing in reply to the Wellington Association's request for a match against an Auckland team as a curtain-raiser to the third Test match, stated that it was not prepared to play a game as a provincial shield game, but it would play the game as a friendly fixture.
