GOLD BEAUTY'S LATEST
Mr. C. Gordon Wyborn, of Te Aroha, the breeder and lessor of the Winter Steeplechase winner Smiling Thru, has at present wintering on his property a rising two-year-old chestnut colt by Captain Bunsby from the St.. Amans mare Gold Beauty, the dam of Smiling Thru. The youngster is said to be regarded as one of the best-looking thoroughbreds produced in the district for several years. In colouring, markings, and general conformation he resembles D'Artagnan, the first of Gold (Beauty's foals.
