Levin and Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from their. London agents, dated June 30.
, North Island frozen meat quotations are as follows: —Down lambs, 28/361b 7 5-8 d per lb, 36/421b 7£d; crossbred lambs, 28/361b 7 3-Bd, 36/421b 7 3-8 d; second quality, average 30/311b 7d; wethers, under 481b 5 7-Bd, 48/561b 5Jd, 56/641b sid, 64/721 bsd; ewes, under 481b 4d, 48/561b 3£d, 56/641b 3 3-Bd, 64/721b 3£d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/2201b, none offering. Compared with last week's quotations, crossbred lamb 28/361b and second quality lamb l-8d per lb lower; wethers under 481b l-8d per lb lower; ewes 48/561b l-8d per lb lower; others unchanged. There is a weakening tendency in the market, particularly for the prime and second quality lambs, and for all grades of mutton.
