THEFT OF BOOTS

Pleading guilty to a charge of the theft of boots hanging in ,the doorway of a shop, William Lindsay Atkinson, a labourer, aged 48, was convicted and sentenced to one month's imprisonment by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. On a charge of drunkenness he was convicted and discharged, and on a further charge, also involving the theft of boots, he was remanded to appear on Wednesday next.
