vThe semi-finals and finals at toe novice boxing tournament at toe Hutt Bailway Workshops were decided on Tuesday evening. There was a large attendance. Two exhibition bouts or three three-minute rounds were fought by Henry Dunn and M. Morton and •J. Martin. _ „ . Trophies donated by Messrs. G. H. llackley, W. D. Burton, H. Dunn, R. A. Lendrum, T.. Horrobin, and others Were presented by Mr. R. A. Lendrum, railway - workshops inspector. _ _ iIR the bantamweight semi-final,. C. Tregurtha (moulding shop) beat R. Cains. In the final A. Beswick (blacksmith shop) lost to C. Tregurtha. _ r, Collins (machine shop) beat A. McDonald (car shop) In the semi-final of the featherweight. F. Taylor beat Jt. Collfns in the final, H. Young (boiler shop) beat T.Daly 111 the final of the lightweight Jt. Auckram (car shop) beat* F. McKinnon (electrical shop) in the semifinal of the welterweight: In the final T. Auckram lost to G. Drylie (electrical Sh ln the semi-final of the middleweight K. Cockhead (copper shop) beat P. (boiler shop). In the final K. Cockhead beat G. Hemsley (brass (car shop) beat, J. Killilea (bollershop) in the light-heavy weight contest. -
