GRAND CANAL DIKES •ACTION BY CHINESE KIANGSU PROVINCE FLOODED (Received June 29, 9 a.m.) LONDON, June 28. The representative of the British United Press at Shanghai states that the Chinese made breaches in the dikes of the Talin River, which forms part of the Grand Canal, flooding Kiangsu Province. , The Chinese admit the loss of Matang boom, but are holding on to the forts.
