SUNDAY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
lathe Wellington South district, the various Sunday schools of all denominations have decided -to tackle as a permanent work the question of Sunday school attendance. To this end, a combined rally of all teachers of the district was called on May 29, and as a result the teachers have decided to go ahead with a comprehensive scheme of visitation. A joint committee has been set up, consisting of two representatives from oanh of nine schools under the chairmanship of Mr. A. Brown, the super* intendent of St James Presbyterian School. The committee is already well on the way to the completion of plans for the work and it is confidently anticipated that the work will be commenced on July 17. The plans call for a personal visit to each home in the district from the Basin Reserve to Wakefield Street Park, and the enthusiasm of those who have pledged themselves to the work demonstrates that the task will be well and faithfully done in as short a time.as. possible. In order that these visitors may have a due sense of their work, a service of dedication and commission is being held in St. James Church on July 17, when each visitor will be commissioned to the work in hand. Great interest is being shown in the work, and the results when tabulated will be of value to the churches concerned.
