in machines due to inaccurate gauges, unreliable relief valves, ill-fitting cups, and too-rapid pulsation. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers were elected unopposed:—President, Mr. W. C. Barry; vice-president, Mr. W. T. Collins; members of council, Messrs. H. S. S. Kyle, W. Peirson, J. E. Mcllwaine, W. T. Collins, and W. C. Barry; secretary, Mr. L. W. N. Fitch; treasurer, Mr. A. M. Buddie. The retiring president is Mr. H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., to whom a tribute was paid, by Mr. Barry in his presidential address. Mr. Fitch has been acting as secretary since Dri Hopkirk resigned last March. Dr. Hopkjrk is at present overseas visiting research institutes; he will represent the association at the international veterinary congress in Switzerland in August. Mr. Collins, vice-president, was the first secretary of the association and was intimately associated with its formation.
