THE SOUTHLAND STRIKE (By Tclecrraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, June 28. A meeting of 350 miners at Nightcaps this morning unanimously passed a resolution to remain idle until the owners sign an agreement as decided on at the conference between the National Owners' Association and miners' representatives in Wellington in April that future agreements be for a term of two years. The period for which the agreement should be in force- is the only point in dispute, all other conditions having been agreed to. |
