REORGANISATION MOVE (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 27. A reorganisation at the Air Ministry with a view to unifying the control and responsibility for the development and production of aircraft was announced in the House of Commons today by the Air Minister, Sir Kingsley Wood, who said that the present air member for research and development, Air Marshal - Sir Wilfrid Freeman, would in future be responsible for production as well as development and research. To enable him to carry out his increased duties he would have the assistance of a director-general of production and a director-general of research and development. Mr. E. J. H. Lemon, vice-president of the London, Midland, and Scottish Railway, would be director-general of production, assisted by a staff with engineering and technical qualifications, and would becomc a member of the Air Council. Air Vicc-Marshal A. W. Tedder would be director-general )f research and development.
