The King has requested him to form a National Government. The Cairo correspondent of ' "The Times" said in a message on April 25 that anticipations that the difficulties facing the Premier, Mahmoud Pasha, would not end with the elections had been abundantly verified. There was even a possibility that he might be driven to resign. A crisis had arisen from the projected reshuffling of the Cabinet, which contained only three deputies, in addition to six senators and six Ministers who were outside Parliament.
