In the women's singles Miss Coyne (Australia) worried Mrs. Sperling (Denmark) with good placements, but was eventually worn down by her opponent's super-steadiness. Miss Wynne (Australia) was very erratic against a German opponent, Miss Kraus, and won only after a struggle. Results are:— MEN'S SINGLES. (Holder, J. D. Budge, U.S.A.) Third Round. H. W.
